Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Peissawg Garland got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Penarth's Edmyg Croft got a free kick in the 2nd minute. If Nerthach Keely had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 5 played minutes UWA Bridgend got a freekick which was hit by Avagdu Chadwick. Nerthach Keely's late challenge caught a Penarth's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nerthach Keely helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Penarth booed when UWA Bridgend was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nerthach Keely didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute of the match UWA Bridgend got a corner. Penarth's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pedr Huckaby ran over to the corner to take the kick. Pedr Huckaby made a great header on UWA Bridgend's corner, it was just that Penarth's Arthur Gain managed to reach the ball for a save. Arthur Gain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nerthach Keely in the 12th minute of play. Peissawg Garland's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 14thth minute, Gwevyl Brin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bleddyn Knox hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Peissawg Garland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bleddyn Knox's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arthur Gain read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute of the match UWA Bridgend got a corner. Penarth's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pedr Huckaby ran over to the corner to take the kick. UWA Bridgend's Bleddyn Knox was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arthur Gain in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Arthur Gain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nerthach Keely in the 24th minute of the match. Penarth's Arthur Gain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pwyll Folds in the 32nd minute of play. Peissawg Garland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 37 minutes, Peissawg Garland managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Penarth's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peissawg Garland was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Nerthach Keely came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the UWA Bridgend fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nerthach Keely couldn't finish the play. After 40 minutes of play, UWA Bridgend's Pwyll Folds made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arthur Gain was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sulyen Hill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Peissawg Garland struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Gwevyl Brin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Penarth. After the first half UWA Bridgend were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nerthach Keely made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Penn Dowdall during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in UWA Bridgend's zone, Sulyen Hill stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gwevyl Brin came out of the goal and Sulyen Hill tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nerthach Keely in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arthur Gain saved Penarth from getting behind. Peissawg Garland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th match minute, UWA Bridgend was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bleddyn Knox to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the match, Peissawg Garland had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gwevyl Brin. UWA Bridgend's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Peissawg Garland was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. If Sulyen Hill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gwevyl Brin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peissawg Garland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the game, Govan Croft was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Penarth's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UWA Bridgend the free kick. After a rather tough play, Penarth's Govan Croft got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 92nd match minute, Penarth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rhun Anderson to maneuver through the defense. Penarth were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing UWA Bridgend to leave the ground with a draw.
