The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Skewen FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bedwyr Cavaness to maneuver through the defense. 6 minutes into the match, Porthcawl Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Govannon Laing came free, but Ieuan Jamison reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 7 played minutes Porthcawl Utd got a freekick which was hit by Arianwyn Cornell. Ieuan Jamison came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Skewen FC's Iustig Cullin. But to his dismay, Iustig Cullin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Pelles Leonard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerallt Blackburn , who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Gerallt Blackburn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pelles Leonard having to interfere. The supporters of Skewen FC booed when Porthcawl Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Greid Brin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Skewen FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mostyn Camden in the 32nd minute. After taking down the ball on Skewen FC's corner Mostyn Camden fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ieuan Jamison quite easily take care of the ball. Porthcawl Utd's Ieuan Jamison played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Govannon Laing in the 34th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Govannon Laing was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Iustig Cullin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skewen FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iustig Cullin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ieuan Jamison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Govannon Laing, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 57th match minute, Skewen FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bedwyr Cavaness to maneuver through the defense. Ieuan Jamison made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iustig Cullin in the 59th minute of play. Pelles Leonard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerallt Blackburn , even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Skewen FC booed when Porthcawl Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Greid Brin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Skewen FC's Mostyn Camden tried to score from far away in the 64th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Iustig Cullin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Ieuan Jamison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Porthcawl Utd's Gwitart Goodwin got a free kick in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Govannon Laing in the 76th minute of play forced Porthcawl Utd's goalkeeper Ieuan Jamison to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Govannon Laing's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ieuan Jamison read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Iustig Cullin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Skewen FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 88th match minute, Skewen FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trahern Godwin to maneuver through the defense. Gerallt Blackburn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pelles Leonard having to interfere. Porthcawl Utd's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
