After some careless play in the Llangollen Utd defense, Cadwr Burchett kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gwevyl Kavanagh. The Llangollen Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gwevyl Kavanagh should have stopped the shot. Cadwr Burchett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Gwevyl Kavanagh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gromer Kearney's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gwevyl Kavanagh read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. After 11 minutes, Cadwr Burchett made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Llangollen Utd's Gwevyl Kavanagh tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 27th minute Robat Herne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yale Brewster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Knighton getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Gromer Kearney hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Cadwr Burchett ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gwevyl Kavanagh was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After a rather tough play, Knighton's Culhwch Kilkenny got a free kick in the 37th minute. 4-0 became the score in the 39th minute when Cadwr Burchett elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Cadwr Burchett got free in front of the goal in the 45th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Gwevyl Kavanagh was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cadwr Burchett stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Llangollen Utd's goalkeeper Gwevyl Kavanagh, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 66 minutes into the match, Cadwr Burchett had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gwevyl Kavanagh. Llangollen Utd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cadwr Burchett was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. 5-1 became the score in the 72nd minute when Kenyon Howe elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.
