Spectators: 6769 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Robat Herne started the match with the kick off. After some careless play in the Llangollen Utd defense, Elphin Colston kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gwevyl Kavanagh. The Llangollen Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gwevyl Kavanagh should have stopped the shot. Kenyon Howe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Gilbert Lay made a huge save. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Llandudno Utd's goalkeeper Gilbert Lay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 15th minute, Hafgan Jennings hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Arian Leaper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Granwen Gibson in the 22nd minute of play forced Llangollen Utd's goalkeeper Gwevyl Kavanagh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 24 minutes, Granwen Gibson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Llandudno Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Granwen Gibson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Granwen Gibson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gwevyl Kavanagh stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arian Leaper's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Hafgan Jennings kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After 36 minutes, Hafgan Jennings mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Llangollen Utd and the Llandudno Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 36th match minute, Llangollen Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hafgan Jennings to maneuver through the defense. Govynyon Keatinge, 37 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Elphin Colston struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Gwevyl Kavanagh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Llandudno Utd. Gwevyl Kavanagh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevyn Fletcher, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Arian Leaper made the kick off in the second half. Robat Herne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Gilbert Lay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Llangollen Utd's Hafgan Jennings got his second yellow card of the match in the 61st minute. The referee ordered Hafgan Jennings off the ground. After 61 played minutes Llangollen Utd got a freekick which was hit by Hafgan Jennings. Arian Leaper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th play minute Granwen Gibson came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gwevyl Kavanagh. 0-2. When Bogart Carr fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Llangollen Utd's protests and gave Bogart Carr a yellow card for diving instead. In the 77th match minute, Llangollen Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bogart Carr to maneuver through the defense. Gwevyl Kavanagh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arian Leaper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Kenyon Howe put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Gilbert Lay. The Llangollen Utd fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Llandudno Utd were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
