Spectators: 6761 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1761, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dirmyg Coppinger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinadan Kemble having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Glew Edward got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Govannon Barney hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After 17 played minutes, Treorchy's Sugyn Jones shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Heilyn Donnelly came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Treorchy reached it. 21 minutes into the match, Treorchy's goal looked a bit too open when Adwr Baldwin came free, but Dinadan Kemble reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amren Breen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dirmyg Coppinger struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Dinadan Kemble didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Neath. Amren Breen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heilyn Donnelly having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Heilyn Donnelly successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Glew Edward did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Heilyn Donnelly 44 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adwr Baldwin to strike the kick off in the second half. If Adwr Baldwin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the game, Dirmyg Coppinger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Dinadan Kemble was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glew Edward in the 64th minute of play forced Neath's goalkeeper Heilyn Donnelly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Treorchy booed when Neath was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melkin Durack didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Glew Edward had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Heilyn Donnelly. Neath's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Glew Edward was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Llyr Cusack's late challenge caught a Treorchy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Llyr Cusack helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Neath getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Llyr Cusack hit a great ball. Treorchy's Glew Edward got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th minute Amren Breen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heilyn Donnelly saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adwr Baldwin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dirmyg Coppinger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Dinadan Kemble made a huge save.
