The audience was convinced that Cerwyn Hubbard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dirmyg Fane was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Dirmyg Fane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cerwyn Hubbard in the 15th minute of the match. Cerwyn Hubbard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the game, Mabsant Howell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wrexham FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UWA Montgomery the free kick. After a rather tough play, Wrexham FC's Mabsant Howell got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in UWA Montgomery's zone, Cerwyn Hubbard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dirmyg Fane came out of the goal and Cerwyn Hubbard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. UWA Montgomery's Dirmyg Fane proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save UWA Montgomery from getting a goal against them. In the 32nd minute, Romney Green hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dirmyg Fane was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gorlois Lynch. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iowerth Garrity in the 39th minute of play forced Wrexham FC's goalkeeper Kent Atkinson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cerwyn Hubbard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dirmyg Fane having to interfere. Powell Carr hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the UWA Montgomery defense, Mabsant Howell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dirmyg Fane. The UWA Montgomery fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dirmyg Fane should have stopped the shot.

The wind increased when Cadell Chaisemaker made the kick off in the second half. UWA Montgomery's Cadell Chaisemaker got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iowerth Garrity kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, UWA Montgomery's goal looked a bit too open when Mabsant Howell came free, but Dirmyg Fane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wrexham FC's Mabsant Howell got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dirmyg Fane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cerwyn Hubbard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brad Hamlet kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Vaddon Fishman came free in the 72nd minute and tried to tip the ball over Kent Atkinson, but to the joy of Wrexham FC's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mabsant Howell in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dirmyg Fane prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cerwyn Hubbard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dirmyg Fane having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, UWA Montgomery's goal looked a bit too open when Cerwyn Hubbard came free, but Dirmyg Fane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Kynedyr Dresser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wrexham FC's Kent Atkinson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cadell Chaisemaker in the 100th minute of play. Kynedyr Dresser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 101st minute. Kent Atkinson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wrexham FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
