The corner was taken by Addolgar Accomptant in the 5th minute. Heilyn Foote was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers March Donoghue in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gobrwy Buckman saved Skewen from getting behind. In the 12th minute, Anyon Donovan made a precise shot to the right of Gobrwy Buckman. Skewen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 14 minutes into the game, Tarrant Brothers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caerleon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skewen the free kick. In the 14th match minute, Caerleon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tarrant Brothers to maneuver through the defense. March Donoghue received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Gobrwy Buckman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anyon Donovan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Gobrwy Buckman made a huge save. In the 21st minute, Berth Kirby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When March Donoghue came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Caerleon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that March Donoghue couldn't finish the play. When Cadfan Gaughan fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Skewen's protests and gave Cadfan Gaughan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th minute, one of Skewen:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Skewen. Tarrant Brothers hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Powell Lamb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Cadman Buchan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Skewen's zone, March Donoghue stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gobrwy Buckman came out of the goal and March Donoghue tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cadman Buchan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Powell Lamb in the 43rd minute of play. Anyon Donovan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Gobrwy Buckman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when March Donoghue stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Caerleon's goalkeeper Cadman Buchan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Drystan Finnegan. The audience was convinced that Powell Lamb's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cadman Buchan was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. March Donoghue received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Gobrwy Buckman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cadman Buchan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sayer Davis hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the match, Skewen's goal looked a bit too open when March Donoghue came free, but Gobrwy Buckman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute, Gwalhaved Hand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the game, Sayer Davis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
