In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Skewen's goalkeeper Gobrwy Buckman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Skewen's Gobrwy Buckman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deiniol Frost in the 22nd minute of play. After the first half Skewen were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Drystan Finnegan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skewen's supporters rose to their feet, but Drystan Finnegan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mostyn Gavins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 56 minutes into the match, Skewen's goal looked a bit too open when Brathach Gallatin came free, but Gobrwy Buckman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mostyn Gavins was a little too slow when Powell Lamb got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 0-3. Skewen's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
