Spectators: 6788 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1788, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cant Hewitt got the match started through his kick off. Chepstow Utd's Govynyon Foote played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tegvan Bennington in the 3rd minute of play. Vaughn Hugh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Govynyon Foote tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cant Hewitt struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Seith Cavaness didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chepstow Utd. 8 minutes into the game, Drew Campbell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Seith Cavaness was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 12 minutes into the match, Penarth's Tegvan Bennington sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Govynyon Foote narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Vaughn Hugh came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Penarth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vaughn Hugh couldn't finish the play. Drew Campbell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Drew Campbell in the 26th minute of play forced Penarth's goalkeeper Seith Cavaness to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Drew Campbell in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Seith Cavaness saved Penarth from getting behind. A collision led to Chepstow Utd getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Dyvyr Hartcliff hit a great ball. Seith Cavaness showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Drew Campbell, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Drew Campbell scored 0-2 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Seith Cavaness, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cant Hewitt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

In the 51st minute, Bedyw Baldwin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Seith Cavaness. The goal made the score 0-3. In the 58th minute Tegvan Bennington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Govynyon Foote saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tegvan Bennington struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Govynyon Foote didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Penarth. If Tegvan Bennington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bedyw Jolson hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Vaughn Hugh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Govynyon Foote having to interfere. If Tegvan Bennington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Govynyon Foote showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tegvan Bennington in the 81st minute of the match. Vaughn Hugh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chepstow Utd's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
