A beautiful save bye UWA Swansea's goalie prevented a goal. Rhain Farrelly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Padrig Bowie in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maddox Cummins prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Perceval Gay kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Newport FC's Padrig Bowie got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Padrig Bowie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Newport FC's Aneirin Flannery played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Griffith Brent in the 24th minute of play. A collision led to Newport FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Rhun Kavanagh hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the game, Newport FC's Rhain Farrelly nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maddox Cummins made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as UWA Swansea's Griffith Brent slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aneirin Flannery. That made the score 1-1 after 32 minutes of play. Griffith Brent sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Griffith Brent made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Newport FC got a freekick which was hit by Edmyg Andrews. Newport FC's Padrig Bowie got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rhain Farrelly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmyg Wheelwright kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Maddox Cummins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rhain Farrelly, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Newport FC defense, Bradwen Hernon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aneirin Flannery. The Newport FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aneirin Flannery should have stopped the shot. Maddox Cummins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rhain Farrelly, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute, Perceval Gay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Siarl Lyons hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Bradwen Hernon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aneirin Flannery having to interfere. 96 minutes into the game, one of UWA Swansea:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 97th minute, Newport FC got a penalty, and Rhun Kavanagh placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
