UWA Bangor's Yestin Squire played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rhett Gee in the 15th minute of play. Yestin Squire made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Sel Faherty sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of UWA Bangor booed when UWA Penarth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maxen Boham didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gormant Hine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Peissawg Crowley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brad Gately was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Brad Gately stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peissawg Crowley's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. In the 38th minute Gormant Hine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brad Gately saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Urien Burton hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, UWA Bangor's goalkeeper Yestin Squire had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sel Faherty. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Rhett Gee recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Urien Burton charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Urien Burton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to UWA Bangor getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Urien Burton hit a great ball. Sel Faherty struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Yestin Squire didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UWA Penarth. In the 55th minute, Pryderi Boltinghouse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. UWA Penarth's Sel Faherty got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maxen Boham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Yestin Squire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rhett Gee in the 66th minute of play forced UWA Bangor's goalkeeper Yestin Squire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gormant Hine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brad Gately took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peissawg Crowley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 76 minutes, Peissawg Crowley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UWA Bangor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peissawg Crowley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sel Faherty might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yestin Squire. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sel Faherty ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 80th minute Sel Faherty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yestin Squire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, UWA Penarth's goal looked a bit too open when Peissawg Crowley came free, but Brad Gately reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in UWA Penarth's zone, Gormant Hine stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brad Gately came out of the goal and Gormant Hine tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpected shot in the 95th minute by Peissawg Crowley got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The UWA Bangor players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented UWA Penarth from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
