Spectators: 6769 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bwlch Inger started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Penarth's Bwlch Inger sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cadwallen Hillard narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ffowc Gregson charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ffowc Gregson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 8 played minutes Aberystwyth got a freekick which was hit by Ffowc Gregson. Ffowc Gregson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Howell Folds tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 12 played minutes Penarth got a freekick which was hit by Aberthol Langley. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ffowc Gregson got free with Howell Folds in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Urien Barnett's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cadwallen Hillard was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. If Bwlch Inger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cadwallen Hillard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bwlch Inger in the 19th minute of play. Howell Folds showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gwevyl Black in the 24th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Aberystwyth's Gwitart Baldwin got a free kick in the 26th minute. Ffowc Gregson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Howell Folds having to interfere. Urien Barnett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the match, Penarth's Lionel Everson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Bwlch Inger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Aberystwyth's goalkeeper Cadwallen Hillard, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gwevyl Black was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Ffowc Gregson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aberystwyth's supporters rose to their feet, but Ffowc Gregson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Howell Folds breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 55 minutes into the match, Penarth's goal looked a bit too open when Gwevyl Black came free, but Howell Folds reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bwlch Inger in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cadwallen Hillard prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Howell Folds came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Aberystwyth's Ffowc Gregson. But to his dismay, Ffowc Gregson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Penarth's Howell Folds played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gwevyl Black in the 73rd minute of play. In the 80th minute Bwlch Inger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cadwallen Hillard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 83 minutes, Urien Barnett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Penarth's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urien Barnett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Urien Barnett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Urien Barnett who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Cadwallen Hillard when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Urien Barnett managed to get in a good position for a shot. Penarth's supporters rose to their feet, but Urien Barnett was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cadwallen Hillard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bwlch Inger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cadwallen Hillard having to interfere. Aberystwyth's Gwevyl Black got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Gwevyl Black ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Howell Folds was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Aberystwyth's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
