Anwar Allen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eudav Kidder in the 25th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bradwen Love in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anwar Allen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Odgar Brickin came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Ely fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Odgar Brickin couldn't finish the play. Eudav Kidder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the game, Bradwen Love cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Anwar Allen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bradwen Love was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Ely's Anwar Allen got control of the ball when Eudav Kidder tried to sneak it across the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ely fully deserved thier win.
