The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gusg Gunton scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mabon Jolson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pennar Aykroyd charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pennar Aykroyd the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to UWA Bridgend getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Pennar Aykroyd hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Gusg Gunton managed to get in a good position for a shot. UWA Llandudno's supporters rose to their feet, but Gusg Gunton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mabon Jolson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. UWA Llandudno's Kenyon Hooker proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save UWA Llandudno from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pwyll Bignall got free with Kenyon Hooker in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 21 minutes into the match, UWA Bridgend's goal looked a bit too open when Gusg Gunton came free, but Mabon Jolson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mabon Jolson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casnar Johnston, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gusg Gunton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mabon Jolson having to interfere. After 25 minutes of play, UWA Llandudno's Casnar Johnston made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mabon Jolson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mabon Jolson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cain Dalton in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Myrddin Beers in the 29th minute of play forced UWA Llandudno's goalkeeper Kenyon Hooker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pennar Aykroyd was shown his second yellow card after 35 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Casnar Johnston managed to get in a good position for a shot. UWA Llandudno's supporters rose to their feet, but Casnar Johnston was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mabon Jolson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Gusg Gunton sped through UWA Bridgend's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mabon Jolson. Kenyon Hooker made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Pwyll Bignall sent off a good shot on target.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Casnar Johnston to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Pwyll Bignall got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 52nd match minute, UWA Llandudno was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anynnawg Carmichael to maneuver through the defense. Gusg Gunton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of UWA Bridgend:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of UWA Llandudno:s goal. Andras Wright walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Pwyll Bignall might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kenyon Hooker. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pwyll Bignall ran back to his position shaking his head. Mabon Jolson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casnar Johnston in the 78th minute of the match. After some careless play in the UWA Bridgend defense, Gusg Gunton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mabon Jolson. The UWA Bridgend fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mabon Jolson should have stopped the shot. The supporters of UWA Bridgend booed when UWA Llandudno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dyvyr Shrieve didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cain Dalton kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. After 88 played minutes UWA Bridgend got a freekick which was hit by Seith Lardner. In the 91st minute, Pwyll Bignall ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kenyon Hooker was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pwyll Bignall in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kenyon Hooker saved UWA Llandudno from getting behind. Myrddin Beers struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Kenyon Hooker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UWA Bridgend. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. UWA Llandudno had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
