Gethin Gibbons took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomos Garnett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. UWA Treorchy's Ithel Joel got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ithel Joel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gethin Gibbons having to interfere. Govynyon Andrew showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anir Cowen in the 10th minute of the match. UWA Treorchy's Govynyon Andrew played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andras Galligan in the 12th minute of play. A collision led to UWA Treorchy getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Urien Everton hit a great ball. With a little luck, UWA Flint's Gethin Gibbons got control of the ball when Ithel Joel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gethin Gibbons made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ithel Joel in the 31st minute. After a defensive mix-up in UWA Treorchy's zone, Anir Cowen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Govynyon Andrew came out of the goal and Anir Cowen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomos Garnett kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Cai Burgess got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to UWA Treorchy getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Taffy Bernard hit a great ball. After 41 played minutes UWA Treorchy got a freekick which was hit by Drystan Catton. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 52nd minute, Taffy Bernard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 53 minutes, Andras Galligan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UWA Flint's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andras Galligan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Powell Farrier hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After having played for 56 minutes, Tomos Garnett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UWA Treorchy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomos Garnett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57th minute Tomos Garnett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gethin Gibbons saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute Anir Cowen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Govynyon Andrew saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andras Galligan got free with Govynyon Andrew in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andras Galligans short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Govynyon Andrew to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Andras Galligan did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-1 to the left of a surprised Govynyon Andrew 63 minutes into the match. Anir Cowen struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Govynyon Andrew didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UWA Flint. After a defensive mix-up in UWA Flint's zone, Ithel Joel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gethin Gibbons came out of the goal and Ithel Joel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 77 minutes of play, UWA Flint's Andras Galligan made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Govynyon Andrew was left in no man's land by his defense there! 81 minutes into the match, UWA Flint's goal looked a bit too open when Tomos Garnett came free, but Gethin Gibbons reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Cai Burgess fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UWA Flint's protests and gave Cai Burgess a yellow card for diving instead. In the 82nd minute, Cai Burgess hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anir Cowen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Govynyon Andrew having to interfere. UWA Flint's Gethin Gibbons played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomos Garnett in the 96th minute of play.
