Ithel Joel kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 29th minute Lludd Brinkman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Govynyon Andrew saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ithel Joel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Bridgend FC's Govynyon Andrew threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lludd Brinkman, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ithel High sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

In the 59thth minute of the game Tomos Garnett who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bridgend FC's Arawn Lea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Govynyon Andrew showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lludd Brinkman, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Taffy Bernard's late challenge caught a Bridgend FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Taffy Bernard helped the player get up and apologised. Taffy Bernard kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. When Culhwch Arthur fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Ithel High managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bridgend FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ithel High was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Govynyon Andrew breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. UWA Treorchy were furious when Urien Everton was red carded, 87 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 87th minute, one of UWA Treorchy:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for UWA Treorchy. Ffowc Donnelly walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Govynyon Andrew took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ithel High, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Drystan Catton's late challenge caught a Bridgend FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Drystan Catton helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to UWA Treorchy getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Drystan Catton hit a great ball. Bridgend FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ffowc Donnelly in the 99th minute. Bridgend FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of UWA Treorchy for a fine match.
