The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, Lavaine Goodman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UWA Bridgend's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lavaine Goodman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Porthcawl FC's Selyf Crocker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Myrddin Beers in the 5th minute of play. Lleu Cain hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Beli Goldthorpe struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Mabon Jolson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Porthcawl FC. After 13 played minutes Porthcawl FC got a freekick which was hit by Brastias Cockane. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Porthcawl FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Seith Lardner was slow to take the kick. During this time UWA Bridgend's players had a chance to rest. Beli Goldthorpe let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 20th minute shot 1-0 at rihgt post. When Lavaine Goodman came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the UWA Bridgend fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lavaine Goodman couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beli Goldthorpe in the 28th minute of play forced UWA Bridgend's goalkeeper Mabon Jolson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Porthcawl FC's Anir Campbell dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Lavaine Goodman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Selyf Crocker having to interfere. Myrddin Beers might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Selyf Crocker. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Myrddin Beers ran back to his position shaking his head. 41 minutes into the game, one of Porthcawl FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Seith Lardner placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Mabon Jolson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beli Goldthorpe in the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Beli Goldthorpe to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, UWA Bridgend was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevyn Hewitt to maneuver through the defense. Selyf Crocker made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Myrddin Beers sent off a good shot on target. Beli Goldthorpe struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Albanwr Carlton hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Brastias Cockane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
