In the 12th minute Beli Goldthorpe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gethin Gibbons saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anir Campbell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 15 minutes into the match, Anir Campbell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gethin Gibbons. UWA Flint's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anir Campbell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. UWA Flint's Gethin Gibbons played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anir Campbell in the 19th minute of play. With his leg Selyf Crocker managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when UWA Flint's Andras Galligan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 25th match minute, Porthcawl FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albanwr Carlton to maneuver through the defense. Selyf Crocker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anir Cowen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anir Campbell in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gethin Gibbons prevented the ball from getting in the gole. UWA Flint's Gethin Gibbons played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anir Campbell in the 32nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Beli Goldthorpe in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gethin Gibbons saved UWA Flint from getting behind. After 39 minutes of play, UWA Flint's Andras Galligan made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Selyf Crocker was left in no man's land by his defense there! Beli Goldthorpe took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gethin Gibbons. Gethin Gibbons dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Andras Galligan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Anir Campbell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gethin Gibbons having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in UWA Flint's zone, Anir Campbell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gethin Gibbons came out of the goal and Anir Campbell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Beli Goldthorpe in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gethin Gibbons saved UWA Flint from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anir Cowen in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Selyf Crocker saved Porthcawl FC from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anir Cowen in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Selyf Crocker saved Porthcawl FC from getting behind. In the 68th minute, Andras Galligan made a precise shot to the right of Selyf Crocker. Porthcawl FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Anir Campbell struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. After some careless play in the UWA Flint defense, Anir Campbell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gethin Gibbons. The UWA Flint fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gethin Gibbons should have stopped the shot. The UWA Flint supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Porthcawl FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Porthcawl FC.
