With a little luck, UWA Bridgend's Mabon Jolson got control of the ball when Hydd Blackadder tried to sneak it across the goal line. Myrddin Beers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Baudwin Dell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Neath defense, Lavaine Goodman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baudwin Dell. The Neath fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baudwin Dell should have stopped the shot. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Neath! In the 25th minute there was a penalty for UWA Bridgend. Seith Lardner stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Baudwin Dell. 1-2. Baudwin Dell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Myrddin Beers, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Mabon Jolson made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Hydd Blackadder sent off a good shot on target. If Pennar Aykroyd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Myrddin Beers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Myrddin Beers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to UWA Bridgend getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Seith Lardner hit a great ball. In the 72nd play minute Myrddin Beers came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Baudwin Dell. 1-3. Hydd Blackadder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mabon Jolson having to interfere. Baudwin Dell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lavaine Goodman in the 89th minute of play. Hydd Blackadder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. UWA Bridgend walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
