The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Wrexham's goalkeeper Rhyd Ivers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Caledvwich Epps. Wrexham's Albanwr Gill got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 10 minutes, Albanwr Gill made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Llangollen's Seith Hatch tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Gwydre Kerrin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Seith Hatch read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Seith Hatch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gwydre Kerrin, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. A collision led to Llangollen getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Siam Wainwright hit a great ball. In the 26th minute Llwyd Quarrier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rhyd Ivers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 29 minutes of play, Wrexham's Gwydre Kerrin made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Seith Hatch was left in no man's land by his defense there! Albanwr Gill struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Seith Hatch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wrexham. Seith Hatch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albanwr Gill in the 44th minute of play. In the 47th minute Albanwr Gill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Seith Hatch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

In the 53rd minute, Dywel Bellew hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caledvwich Epps's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rhyd Ivers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Caledvwich Epps fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rhyd Ivers having to interfere. Wrexham's Rhyd Ivers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Llwyd Quarrier in the 68th minute of play. Gwydre Kerrin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Seith Hatch when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Caledvwich Epps blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rhyd Ivers having to make a save. Wrexham's Rhyd Ivers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caledvwich Epps in the 82nd minute of play. Llangollen's Seith Hatch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albanwr Gill in the 86th minute of play. Rhyd Ivers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Llwyd Quarrier in the 92nd minute of the match. Llwyd Quarrier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Rhyd Ivers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Wrexham players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
