After 4 played minutes Rhyl got a freekick which was hit by Ieuan Brewster. The audience was convinced that Greidyawl Holcombe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gwawl Potter was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Heilyn Cox sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th match minute, Rhyl was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Llwyr Belbeck to maneuver through the defense. Gerwin Ambrose hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Selyf Canning fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ysgawyn Gardner having to interfere. Gwawl Potter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Greidyawl Holcombe in the 15th minute of play. Kevyn Henry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gwawl Potter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Greidyawl Holcombe's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Gwawl Potter made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Caddoc Flesher sent off a good shot on target. Abergele Utd's Ysgawyn Gardner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cai Lamph in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Rhyl's Selyf Canning sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ysgawyn Gardner narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Heilyn Cox hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Greidyawl Holcombe in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gwawl Potter saved Rhyl from getting behind. Abergele Utd's Ysgawyn Gardner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Selyf Canning in the 33rd minute of play. Rhyl's Selyf Canning got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevyn Henry in the 45th minute of play forced Abergele Utd's goalkeeper Ysgawyn Gardner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Selyf Canning sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Kevyn Henry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute, Selyf Canning got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Greidyawl Holcombe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Caddoc Flesher took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gwawl Potter. Gwawl Potter dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 59th minute of the match Pelles Fishman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gwawl Potter showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 66th minute Heilyn Cox shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwawl Potter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Greidyawl Holcombe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ysgawyn Gardner didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Selyf Canning went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 79 minutes into the match, Rhyl's Kevyn Henry sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ysgawyn Gardner narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gilbert Knill's late challenge caught a Rhyl's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilbert Knill helped the player get up and apologised. After 82 played minutes Abergele Utd got a freekick which was hit by Gilbert Knill. Kevyn Henry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gwawl Potter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Greidyawl Holcombe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Kevyn Henry's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ysgawyn Gardner was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Selyf Canning sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Greidyawl Holcombe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
