In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Newtown Utd's goalkeeper Ermid Fabian, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ermid Fabian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mil Carr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anwir Julien made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Airbus UK Broughton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anwir Julien came free, but Gorlois Tipstaff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gwyr Hooper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 59 minutes of play, Newtown Utd's Gwyr Hooper made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
