Spectators: 6769 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gildas Whitewing kicked off to start the match. When Cai Lamph came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Rhyl fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cai Lamph couldn't finish the play. Selyf Canning fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pasgen Holloway having to interfere. In the 12th minute, one of Rhyl:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rhyl. Gildas Whitewing struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Gwawl Potter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UWA Baglan. Kevyn Henry struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Pasgen Holloway didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rhyl. UWA Baglan's Pasgen Holloway played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevyn Henry in the 23rd minute of play. Gwawl Potter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gildas Whitewing in the 26th minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Gildas Whitewing ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gwawl Potter was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 37th minute Gildas Whitewing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwawl Potter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in UWA Baglan's zone, Kevyn Henry stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pasgen Holloway came out of the goal and Kevyn Henry tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kevyn Henry to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Rhyl were awarded a corner. Berth Linkletter went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Lavaine Gaynor heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Gwawl Potter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alwyn Cummins in the 60th minute. Pasgen Holloway showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevyn Henry, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Rhyl's Kevyn Henry got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute, Gildas Whitewing got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alwyn Cummins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Gwawl Potter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Selyf Canning had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pasgen Holloway. UWA Baglan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Selyf Canning was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 74th minute, Selyf Canning made a precise shot to the right of Pasgen Holloway. UWA Baglan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. In the 87th minute Gildas Whitewing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwawl Potter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alwyn Cummins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Gwawl Potter made a huge save. Llwyr Belbeck didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Rhyl fans cheered their team off the field, for while UWA Baglan had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
