Ely FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gethin Laurence was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ysgawyn Gardner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gromer Alnor in the 86th minute of play. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Abergele Utd's goalkeeper Ysgawyn Gardner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Greidyawl Holcombe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Irvin Billing having to make a save. If Gethin Laurence had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ely FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
