UWA Cardiff's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Swansea United FC the free kick. In the game's 33rd minute Swansea United FC's Myrddin Gay took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Llyn Flannery and thus the score was 0-2. After the first half Swansea United FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Bors Flannelly hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. When Bors Flannelly fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UWA Cardiff's protests and gave Bors Flannelly a yellow card for diving instead. Iddawg Buchan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bellieus Gilliland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cadfan Huckaby in the 74th minute of play. If Amaethon Cribban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The UWA Cardiff fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when UWA Cardiff's Amaethon Cribban looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Bellieus Gilliland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amaethon Cribban in the 84th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Iddawg Buchan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Llyn Flannery was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. 92 minutes into the match, Iddawg Buchan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Llyn Flannery, 1-3. Llyn Flannery stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iddawg Buchan's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. Swansea United FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
