Caerwyn Dean was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 5th minute. Talgarth's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 8 minutes of play, UWA Cardiff's Amaethon Cribban made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arawn Hibberd was left in no man's land by his defense there! Arawn Hibberd didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amaethon Cribban went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 18 minutes into the match, Talgarth's goal looked a bit too open when Amaethon Cribban came free, but Arawn Hibberd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, Amaethon Cribban ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arawn Hibberd was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Rhuvawn Ahlman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Llyn Flannery. UWA Cardiff's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Caerwyn Dean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bors Flannelly's late challenge caught a Talgarth's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bors Flannelly helped the player get up and apologised. After 32 played minutes UWA Cardiff got a freekick which was hit by Bors Flannelly. Amaethon Cribban's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arawn Hibberd read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Caledvwich Burrows fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 43rd minute, Cadfan Huckaby got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Llyn Flannery showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caledvwich Burrows in the 51st minute of the match. Caerwyn Dean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. UWA Cardiff's Amaethon Cribban got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of UWA Cardiff booed when Talgarth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gusg Lazar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caledvwich Burrows sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arawn Hibberd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amaethon Cribban in the 79th minute of play. In the 83rd minute Amaethon Cribban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arawn Hibberd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cadfan Huckaby got free with Arawn Hibberd in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arawn Hibberd made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cadfan Huckaby in the 87th minute. The UWA Cardiff supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing UWA Cardiff would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
