In the 6th minute, Dyvyr Cartledge got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Melkin Kirk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Llwydeu Keely tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in UWA Neath fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 11th minute. Penalty! If Melkin Kirk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lionel Chaney during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to UWA Neath getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Lionel Chaney hit a great ball. After having played for 20 minutes, Melkin Kirk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.W.A.T. Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Melkin Kirk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mercher Freeh hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Madawg Edwards managed to get in a good position for a shot. UWA Neath's supporters rose to their feet, but Madawg Edwards was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peredur Griffith breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of UWA Neath booed when S.W.A.T. Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dyvyr Cartledge didn't get a good kick on the ball. Madawg Edwards fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peredur Griffith having to interfere. Llwydeu Keely made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melkin Kirk in the 40th minute of play. When Madawg Edwards came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the UWA Neath fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Madawg Edwards couldn't finish the play. Dyvyr Cartledge was shown his second yellow card after 44 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Dyvyr Cartledge hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Madawg Edwards got free with Peredur Griffith in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Madawg Edwards fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peredur Griffith having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pawl Corr was the one to do the kick off. Peredur Griffith showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Madawg Edwards in the 57th minute of the match. UWA Neath's Llwydeu Keely proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save UWA Neath from getting a goal against them. Peredur Griffith made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Madawg Edwards in the 63rd minute of play. Madawg Edwards received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Peredur Griffith tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 92 played minutes, UWA Neath's Cain Essig shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Peredur Griffith came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in UWA Neath reached it. Madawg Edwards received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Peredur Griffith tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
