An unexpectedly hard shot by Sulyen Lax in the 10th minute of play forced Hirwaun FC's goalkeeper Caddoc Journeyman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hirwaun FC's zone, Sulyen Lax stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Caddoc Journeyman came out of the goal and Sulyen Lax tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes into the match, Gwawl Gillmor notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Hirwaun FC's Caddoc Journeyman. Caddoc Journeyman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tor Houghs short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Drystan Handley to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gruffen Gould struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Drystan Handley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hirwaun FC. Sulyen Lax might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Caddoc Journeyman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sulyen Lax ran back to his position shaking his head. 43 minutes into the game, Prestatyn Utd's Gwawl Gillmor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Caddoc Journeyman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Prestatyn Utd's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gruffen Gould 49 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2.

The wind increased when Gruffen Gould made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gwawl Gillmor got free with Caddoc Journeyman in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the last second Caddoc Journeyman throw himself and got hold of the ball when Sulyen Lax in the 66thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 67th minute, Tor Hough hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gwawl Gillmor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Caddoc Journeyman made a huge save. Dagonet Workman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 79 minutes of play, Hirwaun FC's Gruffen Gould made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Drystan Handley was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Gruffen Gould had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tor Hough's late challenge caught a Prestatyn Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tor Hough helped the player get up and apologised. With an all-out effort, Prestatyn Utd's Caddoc Journeyman threw himself towards the right post 86 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sulyen Lax, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 90th match minute, Hirwaun FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tor Hough to maneuver through the defense. Sulyen Lax was extremely unlucky when he, in the 96th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Dagonet Workman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Drystan Handley having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
