Spectators: 6843 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1843, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Galahad Closky kicked off to start the match. After 3 played minutes AFC Wales got a freekick which was hit by Edern Luther. In the 4th minute of the match Idris Keightley sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jestin Halton skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Galahad Closky in the 8th minute of play forced Chepstow FC's goalkeeper Llwyr Kennett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Chepstow FC's goal looked a bit too open when Galahad Closky came free, but Llwyr Kennett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Chepstow FC's zone, Teithi Sawbones stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Llwyr Kennett came out of the goal and Teithi Sawbones tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edern Luther during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Edern Luther hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Galahad Closky was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 20th minute. AFC Wales's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Teithi Sawbones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. AFC Wales's Peissawg Billing got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Llwyr Kennett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Galahad Closky, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chepstow FC's Dilwyn Sorter got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Dilwyn Sorter made the kick off in the second half. It was beautiful to see AFC Wales's Neb Lovelady in action when he in the 53rd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Galahad Closky received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Llwyr Kennett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Llwyr Kennett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Galahad Closky in the 58th minute of the match. When Peissawg Billing fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AFC Wales's protests and gave Peissawg Billing a yellow card for diving instead. After 61 played minutes AFC Wales got a freekick which was hit by Peissawg Billing. When Seith Farrar came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Chepstow FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Seith Farrar couldn't finish the play. 66 minutes into the game, Chepstow FC's Seith Farrar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jestin Halton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Dilwyn Sorter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. Llwyr Kennett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 95th minute, Seith Farrar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Chepstow FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chepstow FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
