An unexpectedly hard shot by Naw Hussey in the 25th minute of play forced UWA Flint's goalkeeper Gruffen Chapman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gruffen Chapman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wren Chaston, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Gareth Beasley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomos Flannery in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Owls III's goal looked a bit too open when Tomos Flannery came free, but Gareth Beasley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. UWA Flint's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kilydd Gearan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68th minute Kilydd Gearan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gareth Beasley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Naw Hussey struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Gruffen Chapman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Owls III. Nerthach Giggs hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. UWA Flint's Gruffen Chapman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save UWA Flint from getting a goal against them.
