Spectators: 6867 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1867, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the game, one of UWA Rhyl:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When Rhyl's Granwen Fischer in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UWA Rhyl's goalie prevented a goal. When Trefor Cantwell came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Rhyl fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Trefor Cantwell couldn't finish the play. In the 16th minute, one of UWA Rhyl:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for UWA Rhyl. Lloyd Diarmid showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trefor Cantwell in the 20th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iddawg Felton during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rhyl's Maddox Creedan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teilo Colclough in the 25th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Granwen Fischer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lloyd Diarmid was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Granwen Fischer in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lloyd Diarmid prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Rhyl booed when UWA Rhyl was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cadfael Hellier didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Granwen Fischer came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Rhyl fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Granwen Fischer couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Granwen Fischer sped through UWA Rhyl's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lloyd Diarmid. In the 46th minute Granwen Fischer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lloyd Diarmid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Granwen Fischer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes UWA Rhyl got a freekick which was hit by Cadfael Hellier. After a rather tough play, UWA Rhyl's Lovel Collingsworth got a free kick in the 58th minute. Rhyl made a substitution. Ysgawyn Gilboy replaced Ol Clements. In the 59th match minute, UWA Rhyl was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lovel Collingsworth to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the game, Trefor Cantwell recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lloyd Diarmid. Trefor Cantwell showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. With splendid footwork Ysgawyn Gilboy arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-6 by the left pole in the game's 65th minute. Trefor Cantwell who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Lloyd Diarmid when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 71 played minutes UWA Rhyl got a freekick which was hit by Cadfael Hellier. Granwen Fischer's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lloyd Diarmid firmly grabbed it by the left post. Granwen Fischer had several of the UWA Rhyl's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 77 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-7 score and a disappointed Lloyd Diarmid as he didn't even see the shot coming. With his leg Lloyd Diarmid managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Rhyl's Granwen Fischer fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Granwen Fischer succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-8 in the 84th playminute. Granwen Fischer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th minute, Granwen Fischer made a precise shot to the right of Lloyd Diarmid. UWA Rhyl's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-9. When the match was over Rhyl could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than UWA Rhyl throughout the match.
