Spectators: 7441 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Beli Archer kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the match, Skewen FC's goalkeeper Geraint Heslop had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Granwen Fischer. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ol Clements in the 15th minute of play forced Skewen FC's goalkeeper Geraint Heslop to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maddox Creedan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maelgwn Heck, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 24th minute Ol Clements shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geraint Heslop saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trefor Cantwell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Geraint Heslop tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Rhyl's Trefor Cantwell ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Geraint Heslop. Geraint Heslop yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 42 minutes into the game, Granwen Fischer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Geraint Heslop was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Trefor Cantwell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Granwen Fischer was the one to do the kick off. Geraint Heslop stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Trefor Cantwell's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Rhyl made a substitution. Ysgawyn Gilboy replaced Ol Clements. Trefor Cantwell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geraint Heslop showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Granwen Fischer, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Granwen Fischer struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Geraint Heslop didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rhyl. 95 minutes into the game, Rhyl's Granwen Fischer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geraint Heslop made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Rhyl walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
