Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Merlin Catley made the kick off which started today's match. Sel Davidson struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Brian Eliss didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UWA Ely. Jestin Hooper came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by UWA Talgarth's Merlin Catley. But to his dismay, Merlin Catley quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. When Merlin Catley fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UWA Talgarth's protests and gave Merlin Catley a yellow card for diving instead. Merlin Catley kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Merlin Catley hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Brian Eliss stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rhyawdd Freston's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Sel Davidson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Brian Eliss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sel Davidson, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Sel Davidson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brian Eliss having to interfere. Brian Eliss didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sel Davidson went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 39th minute, Rhyawdd Freston got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Merlin Catley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, UWA Ely's Jestin Hooper got control of the ball when Merlin Catley tried to sneak it across the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

52 minutes into the match, UWA Talgarth's goalkeeper Brian Eliss had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sel Davidson. In the 54th minute, Gwyr Henley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind UWA Talgarth's goalkeeper Brian Eliss, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Brian Eliss took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rhyawdd Freston, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute, Rhyawdd Freston reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Brian Eliss. The goal made the score 1-3. After 77 minutes of play, UWA Ely's Sel Davidson made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brian Eliss was left in no man's land by his defense there! Brian Eliss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rhyawdd Freston in the 80th minute of the match. Sel Davidson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rhyawdd Freston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rhyawdd Freston recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. UWA Talgarth's Lleu Avery got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Merlin Catley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Jestin Hooper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gwyr Henley struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Jestin Hooper didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UWA Talgarth. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. UWA Ely had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
