The referee ignored Baglan FC's protests and gave Siarl Hamlet a yellow card for diving instead. Siarl Hamlet kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After 11 played minutes, Chepstow 's Kevyn Crosby shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alawn Teamster came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chepstow reached it. 13 minutes into the match, Baglan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ffowc Chandler came free, but Alawn Teamster reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Penn Galligan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute, Edern Kempster hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Penn Galligan charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Penn Galligan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Edern Kempster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alawn Teamster having to interfere. Ffowc Chandler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Alawn Teamster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Myrddin Connell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Meical Harrington made an important save on a dangerous shot by Morvran Cuskley in the 27th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Chepstow 's goalkeeper Meical Harrington had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Morvran Cuskley. If Ffowc Chandler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Ffowc Chandler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chepstow 's supporters rose to their feet, but Ffowc Chandler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alawn Teamster breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ffowc Chandler struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Alawn Teamster didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chepstow . Ffowc Chandler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alawn Teamster having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Ffowc Chandler made a precise shot to the right of Alawn Teamster. Baglan FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After the first half Chepstow were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Penn Galligan was the one to do the kick off. Morvran Cuskley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62nd match minute, Baglan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Siarl Hamlet to maneuver through the defense. Myrddin Connell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Alawn Teamster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Meical Harrington took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Morvran Cuskley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kevyn Crosby helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd minute, Kevyn Crosby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chepstow 's Meical Harrington played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gruddyeu Bonds in the 86th minute of play. Morvran Cuskley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Meical Harrington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Morvran Cuskley took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Meical Harrington. Meical Harrington dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Meical Harrington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Morvran Cuskley in the 96th minute of play. Chepstow 's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
