With an extended leg and a bit of luck Meical Harrington prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 14th match minute, Porthcawl was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Penvro Lennox to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ffowc Chandler got free with Addolgar Bowen in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Trahern Braun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Meical Harrington was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. The supporters of Porthcawl booed when Chepstow was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iolo Garvey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Trahern Braun made a kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in Chepstow fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Porthcawl a penalty, 53 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Digon Gee, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Chepstow 's Meical Harrington. 0-2. Porthcawl's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trahern Braun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 69th minute, Trahern Braun fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Griffith Buttery's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Meical Harrington skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Porthcawl's Tad Kain got a free kick in the 79th minute. Trahern Braun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Trahern Braun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 87 minutes, Trahern Braun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chepstow 's Meical Harrington played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trahern Braun in the 89th minute of play. In the 94th minute Trahern Braun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Meical Harrington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Porthcawl's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
