The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 26 minutes, Selyf Bignall managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barry's supporters crossed their fingers, but Selyf Bignall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Evan Lydiican took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Selyf Bignall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th match minute, Montgomery Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ofydd Dungan to maneuver through the defense. Selyf Bignall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evan Lydiican having to interfere. Evan Lydiican made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amlawdd Haycock in the 39th minute of play. Greidyawl Bray made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ofydd Dungan in the 40th minute. Amlawdd Haycock struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Evan Lydiican didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barry. Barry's Selyf Bignall got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dalldav Farmer to strike the kick off in the second half. Teithi Lay was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 68th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Evan Lydiican made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Amlawdd Haycock sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Barry booed when Montgomery Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anwar Donovan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Selyf Bignall in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evan Lydiican prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Evan Lydiican made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Selyf Bignall in the 85th minute of play. Evan Lydiican made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Amlawdd Haycock sent off a good shot on target. 91 minutes into the game, Amlawdd Haycock cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Evan Lydiican was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gwawl Adams in the 95th minute of play forced Barry's goalkeeper Greidyawl Bray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Montgomery Utd fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Barry were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
