Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Lampeter's Goreu Gade started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lampeter's goalkeeper Gwyneira Blake, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 10th minute of the match, Bors Goodman got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gwyneira Blake was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Tringad Edgell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Goreu Gade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th match minute, Lampeter was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tringad Edgell to maneuver through the defense. A throw-in in the 26th minute of the game was made by Bors Goodman with Clyde Isham as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Lampeter's Gwyneira Blake played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keith Yeoman in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of Chepstow booed when Lampeter was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tringad Edgell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Bors Goodman could shoot a difficult shot in the 30th minute, which Gwyneira Blake however easily saved by the left post. Gwyneira Blake made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Bors Goodman sent off a good shot on target. If Keith Yeoman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Goreu Gade struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Gwyddno Creagh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lampeter. Gwyneira Blake showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Keith Yeoman, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Caerwyn Joyner kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Gwyddno Creagh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Goreu Gade in the 47th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When Goreu Gade came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Lampeter fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Goreu Gade couldn't finish the play. In the 57th minute, Dewey Hitchcock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Goreu Gade in the 74th minute of play forced Chepstow's goalkeeper Gwyddno Creagh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bors Goodman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 77 minutes of play Chepstow's Caerwyn Joyner was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 78 played minutes Chepstow got a freekick which was hit by Caerwyn Joyner. After a defensive mix-up in Chepstow's zone, Goreu Gade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gwyddno Creagh came out of the goal and Goreu Gade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chepstow's Gwyddno Creagh proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Chepstow from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Guinglain Chase managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lampeter's supporters rose to their feet, but Guinglain Chase was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gwyddno Creagh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Goreu Gade managed to get in a good position for a shot.
