The audience was convinced that Anyon Farr's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Caerwyn Griffith was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. 0-1 became the score in the 18th minute when Awstin Chambers elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 21st minute, Llangollen FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Aeddan Boren fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After having played for 39 minutes, Anyon Farr managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montgomery's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anyon Farr was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Llangollen FC's Caerwyn Griffith got control of the ball when Aeddan Boren tried to sneak it across the goal line. Llangollen FC's Caerwyn Griffith proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Llangollen FC from getting a goal against them. 46 minutes into the match, Montgomery's Anyon Farr sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Caerwyn Griffith narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 47th match minute, Llangollen FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iona Kevin to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anyon Farr was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Clud Luke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gwydre Kern was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Awstin Chambers capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Awstin Chambers really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. The supporters of Montgomery booed when Llangollen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Awstin Chambers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iona Kevin charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iona Kevin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Iona Kevin kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Caerwyn Griffith showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aeddan Boren, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After some careless play in the Llangollen FC defense, Anyon Farr kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Caerwyn Griffith. The Llangollen FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Caerwyn Griffith should have stopped the shot. In the 97th minute, Anyon Farr ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Caerwyn Griffith was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Llangollen FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Montgomery.
