He was immediately shown a red card. 3 minutes into the game, one of Montgomery:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Montgomery:s Cerwyn Jordan showed great skill when he stopped Maddock Heany:s penalty. 7 minutes into the match, Skewen's Calder Laing sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cerwyn Jordan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Montgomery's Cerwyn Jordan got control of the ball when Taffy Gladwin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gorsedd Eckles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garselid Carver having to interfere. After 18 played minutes Calder Laing rounded Montgomery's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. If Calder Laing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Montgomery's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Calder Laing scored to the left of an out of position Cerwyn Jordan, making the score, 2-0. 27 minutes into the match, Montgomery's goal looked a bit too open when Calder Laing came free, but Cerwyn Jordan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Waljan Eckles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cerwyn Jordan having to interfere. Cerwyn Jordan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calder Laing, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After 45 played minutes Montgomery got a freekick which was hit by Drudwas Cribban. In the 47th minute Calder Laing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cerwyn Jordan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gorsedd Eckles to make the kick off. Cerwyn Jordan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waljan Eckles in the 55th minute of play. Cerwyn Jordan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Garselid Carver made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Bradwr Lavery sent off a good shot on target. Skewen's Garselid Carver proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Skewen from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bradwr Lavery got free with Garselid Carver in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Drudwas Cribban kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Calder Laing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Cerwyn Jordan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Montgomery's zone, Waljan Eckles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cerwyn Jordan came out of the goal and Waljan Eckles tried to chip the ball over his head.
