Goronwy Colthar hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Gwern Chaisemaker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clud Lodder, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute, Barris Kerrin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Knighton players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Presteigne were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Clud Lodder was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eudav Hadley during the 50th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gwern Chaisemaker made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Goronwy Colthar sent off a good shot on target. Presteigne's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aeddan Saddler in the 69th minute. The corner ended in Cadfan Gilfin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Knighton's Gwern Chaisemaker did a great save. Urien Hanson kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Knighton's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Clud Lodder scored to the left of an out of position Gwern Chaisemaker, making the score, 1-5. Gwern Chaisemaker had great luck who in the 86thth minute grab hold of the ball when Clud Lodder from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barris Kerrin in the 87th minute of play forced Presteigne's goalkeeper Aedd Boham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Presteigne's Clud Lodder slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gwern Chaisemaker. That made the score 1-6 after 88 minutes of play. Presteigne's Yale Elcombe got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Barris Kerrin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aedd Boham was relentless in the 94th minute of the game.
