Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Clud Lodder took the kick off in the first half of the match. Rhett Berry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Aedd Boham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 4th minute, Kevyn Bender hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rhett Berry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aedd Boham having to interfere. After 9 played minutes Neath got a freekick which was hit by Tremayne Lamph. Presteigne's Clud Lodder got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yale Elcombe might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mabon Keelan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yale Elcombe ran back to his position shaking his head. If Clud Lodder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute of the match Neath got a corner. Presteigne's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tremayne Lamph ran over to the corner to take the kick. Aedd Boham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Collen Forsyth in the 26th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Aeddan Saddler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Presteigne's supporters rose to their feet, but Aeddan Saddler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mabon Keelan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 29 played minutes Neath got a freekick which was hit by Sayer Hitchcock. Aedd Boham came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Neath's Rhett Berry. But to his dismay, Rhett Berry quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 35 minutes into the match, Presteigne's goal looked a bit too open when Rhett Berry came free, but Aedd Boham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aedd Boham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sayer Hitchcock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Neath's goalkeeper Mabon Keelan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yale Elcombe. In the 42nd minute, Clud Lodder made a precise shot to the right of Mabon Keelan. Neath's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Goronwy Colthar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Mabon Keelan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Presteigne's Aedd Boham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Collen Forsyth in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Collen Forsyth was the one to do the kick off. When Presteigne's Clud Lodder in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Neath's goalie prevented a goal. Mabon Keelan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clud Lodder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Neath's Collen Forsyth slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aedd Boham. That made the score 1-2 after 58 minutes of play. Clud Lodder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Neath's goal looked a bit too open when Clud Lodder came free, but Mabon Keelan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Clud Lodder came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Presteigne fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clud Lodder couldn't finish the play. In the 75th match minute, Presteigne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Goronwy Colthar to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Rhett Berry put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Aedd Boham. Heilyn Holcomb kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Aeddan Saddler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rdth minute of the game Clud Lodder who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Neath's Mabon Keelan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 95 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Clud Lodder sped through Neath's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mabon Keelan. Neath were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Presteigne's much stronger midfield.
