Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Clud Lodder started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Teregud Brien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 7 played minutes Presteigne got a freekick which was hit by Goronwy Colthar. In the 8th minute, Teregud Brien got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cedric Diamond in the 9th minute of play forced Presteigne's goalkeeper Aedd Boham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Yale Elcombe came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Presteigne fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yale Elcombe couldn't finish the play. Aeddan Saddler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Bwlch Thatcher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Cadfan Gilfin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aedd Boham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cedric Diamond, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After 22 played minutes Cardiff got a freekick which was hit by Teregud Brien. 24 minutes into the match, Presteigne's goal looked a bit too open when Teregud Brien came free, but Aedd Boham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Yale Elcombe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Presteigne's supporters rose to their feet, but Yale Elcombe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bwlch Thatcher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 29th minute, Dillus Johnson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute of the match Aeddan Saddler sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bwlch Thatcher skillfully saved the ball. Yale Elcombe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aedd Boham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cedric Diamond, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The supporters of Presteigne booed when Cardiff was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teryrnon Hakes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 48 played minutes, Presteigne's Aeddan Saddler shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bwlch Thatcher came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Presteigne reached it. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teregud Brien stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bwlch Thatcher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clud Lodder in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teregud Brien in the 62nd minute of play forced Presteigne's goalkeeper Aedd Boham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bwlch Thatcher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clud Lodder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Deiniol Hinton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aedd Boham having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teregud Brien in the 80th minute of play forced Presteigne's goalkeeper Aedd Boham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bwlch Thatcher didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clud Lodder went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Kevyn Bender hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Presteigne were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Cardiff for a fine match.
