Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Griffith Case took the kick off in the first half of the match. Mael Hall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Taffy Finn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brad Kilpatrick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Griffith Case, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 7 minutes into the match, Rhonnda's goalkeeper Taffy Finn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dalldav Collis. Taffy Finn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sugyn Collier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Rhonnda getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Madoc Halton hit a great ball. In the 12th match minute, Bridgend was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rhett Bingley to maneuver through the defense. Kane Lett hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Price Inge was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 22nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 23rd minute, Aeddan Crocker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Taffy Finn was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Sugyn Collier capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sugyn Collier really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. 30 minutes into the match, Rhonnda's goal looked a bit too open when Sugyn Collier came free, but Taffy Finn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rhonnda's Taffy Finn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Rhonnda from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Griffith Case in the 40th minute of play forced Bridgend's goalkeeper Brad Kilpatrick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Griffith Case had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sugyn Collier stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sugyn Collier in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Taffy Finn saved Rhonnda from getting behind. Bridgend's Dalldav Collis suffered a sore thigh after 52 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Price Inge fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rhonnda's protests and gave Price Inge a yellow card for diving instead. Bridgend's Erbin Tucker was substituted for Dalldav Collis. Price Inge hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Taffy Finn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erbin Tucker, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sugyn Collier in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Taffy Finn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 62nd minute of the game Rhett Bingley made a throw-in which Nodens Gilliam played forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Griffith Case in the 66th minute of play forced Bridgend's goalkeeper Brad Kilpatrick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Bridgend booed when Rhonnda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bleddyn Colporteur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Melkin Larkin hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Bridgend's Brad Kilpatrick got control of the ball when Griffith Case tried to sneak it across the goal line. Taffy Finn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sugyn Collier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th minute Sugyn Collier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taffy Finn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sugyn Collier in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Taffy Finn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Bridgend's Sugyn Collier got a free kick in the 80th minute. 86 minutes into the game, Griffith Case recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Brad Kilpatrick. Griffith Case showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Taffy Finn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sugyn Collier in the 94th minute of play. The Bridgend fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Rhonnda were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
