Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Collen Forsyth made the kick off and thus started the match. A collision led to Skewen getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Ysgawyn Coogan hit a great ball. Collen Forsyth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Garselid Carver tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Skewen's Garselid Carver played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Collen Forsyth in the 14th minute of play. Rhett Berry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st minute, Rhett Berry fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Garselid Carver, passed just outside the right post. After 22 minutes, Taffy Gladwin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Skewen and the Neath players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Taffy Gladwin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Skewen's zone, Collen Forsyth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Garselid Carver came out of the goal and Collen Forsyth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Skewen's Garselid Carver proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Skewen from getting a goal against them. Taffy Gladwin got his second yellow card in the match during the 26th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Neath booed when Skewen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Taffy Gladwin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Neath's Rhett Berry nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Garselid Carver made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. When Collen Forsyth came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Neath fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Collen Forsyth couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tremayne Lamph during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 39 minutes, Rhett Berry made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Skewen's Garselid Carver tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sayer Hitchcock's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Garselid Carver read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Collen Forsyth in the 45th minute of play forced Skewen's goalkeeper Garselid Carver to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Waljan Eckles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mabon Keelan having to make a save.

The wind increased when Waljan Eckles made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Skewen got a freekick which was hit by Calder Laing. Tremayne Lamph took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Garselid Carver. Skewen's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 54 minutes into the game, Neath's Collen Forsyth nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Garselid Carver made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rhett Berry in the 61st minute of play forced Skewen's goalkeeper Garselid Carver to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Waljan Eckles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Mabon Keelan made a huge save. Sayer Diarmid charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sayer Diarmid the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 65 played minutes Skewen got a freekick which was hit by Sayer Diarmid. Rhett Berry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Rhett Berry sped through Skewen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Garselid Carver. In the 79thth minute of the game Collen Forsyth who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Skewen's Garselid Carver was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Skewen booed when Neath was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heilyn Holcomb didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Calder Laing came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Skewen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Calder Laing couldn't finish the play. If Waljan Eckles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Collen Forsyth scored 5-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Garselid Carver, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Collen Forsyth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Skewen's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
