Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Calder Laing in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brad Kilpatrick prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Waljan Eckles got free with Brad Kilpatrick in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Bridgend booed when Skewen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maddock Heany didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute Mael Hall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garselid Carver saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 37 played minutes Skewen got a freekick which was hit by Waljan Eckles. In the 38thth minute of the game Sugyn Collier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Skewen's Garselid Carver was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Brad Kilpatrick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calder Laing in the 39th minute of the match. When Taffy Gladwin came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Skewen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Taffy Gladwin couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 54 played minutes Skewen got a freekick which was hit by Ren Elias. Garselid Carver stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sugyn Collier's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. An unexpected shot in the 59th minute by Mael Hall got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 62 minutes into the game, Waljan Eckles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Brad Kilpatrick was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Sugyn Collier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Garselid Carver was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. After 67 played minutes Skewen got a freekick which was hit by Taffy Gladwin. Bridgend's Mael Hall got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sugyn Collier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Garselid Carver tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Bridgend fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Bridgend's Sugyn Collier looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Mael Hall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garselid Carver having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Bridgend's Garselid Carver threw himself towards the right post 82 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sugyn Collier, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Mael Hall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Garselid Carver tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Sugyn Collier came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Bridgend fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sugyn Collier couldn't finish the play. 88 minutes in the game, Sugyn Collier fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Garselid Carver having to interfere. Mael Hall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Waljan Eckles hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Sugyn Collier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Despite being the better team, Bridgend failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
