Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Clud Lodder started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 2nd minute, one of Montgomery:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Montgomery. The referee gave Presteigne a penalty, 4 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Aeddan Saddler, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Montgomery's Cerwyn Jordan. 0-1. Cerwyn Jordan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clud Lodder, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Presteigne were furious when Iau Draper was red carded, 14 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 14th minute, Iau Draper hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ceithin Hoskins might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aedd Boham. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ceithin Hoskins ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 18th match minute, Presteigne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aeddan Saddler to maneuver through the defense. After 22 minutes of play, Presteigne's Goronwy Colthar made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cerwyn Jordan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Presteigne's Aedd Boham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gorsedd Eckles in the 25th minute of play. 28 minutes into the game, Kevyn Bender was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Presteigne's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montgomery the free kick. A collision led to Presteigne getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Kevyn Bender hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Ceithin Hoskins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 30 played minutes Montgomery got a freekick which was hit by Rheged Foody. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yale Elcombe in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cerwyn Jordan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rheged Foody hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

After a rather tough play, Montgomery's Ceithin Hoskins got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute, Greidyawl Lamerton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aeddan Saddler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Montgomery's Rheged Foody got a free kick in the 64th minute. Gorsedd Eckles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aedd Boham having to interfere. Bradwr Lavery sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yale Elcombe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Presteigne's Aedd Boham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gorsedd Eckles in the 80th minute of play. Bradwr Lavery kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After 89 played minutes Presteigne got a freekick which was hit by Yale Elcombe. 92 minutes into the game, Montgomery's Bradwr Lavery nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aedd Boham made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Presteigne had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
