After a defensive mix-up in Beckford City's zone, Mohamed Ali Bey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rashid Essafi came out of the goal and Mohamed Ali Bey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Majed Chatti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sofiène Jemâa, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 35th minute, Mohamed Ali Bey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 38 played minutes Rochford got a freekick which was hit by Hamdi Jouili. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oussama Karray stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mohamed Ali Bey during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Sofiène Jemâa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oussama Karray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rashid Essafi having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Beckford City's Riadh Rzouga got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Rochford's supporters rose to their feet, but Oussama Karray was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rashid Essafi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ali Mrabet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Beckford City succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Rochford had controlled the match.
