After recieving a nice pass, Downham Market's Adel Jawachi tried to score from far away in the 23rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Youssef Ben Essebsi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Youssef Ben Saada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Downham Market getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Kameleddine Jaidi hit a great ball. Ali Mechergui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Youssef Ben Essebsi having to interfere. Youssef Ben Essebsi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Youssef Ben Saada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Ali Mechergui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Muhammad Ladgham was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Christchurch City had won after a very even match.
