A collision led to Shelfield getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Hamdi Meoki hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Zoubeir Belkhodja managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chelmsford's supporters rose to their feet, but Zoubeir Belkhodja was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karim Jelassi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 9th play minute Karim Neifar came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mohamed Ragued. 1-0. Mohamed Ragued stood somewhat misplaced when Karim Neifar came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 14 minute. After a defensive mix-up in Shelfield's zone, Zoubeir Belkhodja stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karim Jelassi came out of the goal and Zoubeir Belkhodja tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 23 minutes, Férid Kasraoui mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shelfield and the Chelmsford players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd minute, Férid Kasraoui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anis Ben Mbarek scored 3-0 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mohamed Ragued, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Karim Neifar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mohamed Ragued having to make a save. In the 34th minute, Fatah Bouazizi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karim Neifar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Chelmsford's Fatah Bouazizi got a free kick in the 39th minute. Anis Ben Mbarek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohamed Ragued having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zoubeir Belkhodja to make the kick off. Chelmsford's Mohamed Ragued played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mourad Namouchi in the 53rd minute of play. Zoubeir Belkhodja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karim Jelassi having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Mourad Namouchi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Shelfield's Karim Jelassi got control of the ball when Caid Boumnijel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Karim Jelassi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zoubeir Belkhodja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karim Neifar in the 75th minute of play forced Chelmsford's goalkeeper Mohamed Ragued to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mourad Namouchi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mourad Namouchi struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Mohamed Ragued didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shelfield. Mohamed Ragued took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karim Neifar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chelmsford's Zoubeir Belkhodja got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Karim Neifar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karim Jelassi made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Caid Boumnijel sent off a good shot on target. Shelfield's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
