But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lassaad Mosrati couldn't finish the play. In the 11th match minute, Mossley FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdallah Mourali to maneuver through the defense. Cowes City's Habib Loussayef couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 12th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Mossley FC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hamdi Saada got free with Salah Ghigani in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hamdi Saada in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Salah Ghigani saved Cowes City from getting behind. 23 minutes into the match, Mossley FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hichem Abdelkader came free, but Selim Gmamdia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fatah Mestiri's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Salah Ghigani skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Hichem Abdelkader came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Cowes City fans jumped to their feet. The supporters of Mossley FC booed when Cowes City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blaise Badra didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Fatah Mestiri kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Salah Ghigani. That made the score 1-0 in the 34 minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Cowes City's goal looked a bit too open when Fatah Mestiri came free, but Salah Ghigani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Hichem Abdelkader got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Mossley FC's zone, Lassaad Mosrati stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Selim Gmamdia came out of the goal and Lassaad Mosrati tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Selim Gmamdia made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Lassaad Mosrati sent off a good shot on target. In the 58thth minute of the game Hichem Abdelkader who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mossley FC's Selim Gmamdia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Lassaad Mosrati had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Selim Gmamdia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hichem Abdelkader in the 63rd minute of play. Selim Gmamdia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hichem Abdelkader in the 94th minute of the match. Selim Gmamdia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hichem Abdelkader, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
